IS Vivo Z1 Pro worth buying than other mid-range phones?

Vivo is India’s biggest and most visible smartphone brand. And now it wants to compete with online focus players with its new model Vivo Z1 Pro which was launch on the 3rd of July 2019.

This phone targets Millennial and Gen z buyers who want great looking phones along with the latest capabilities including great cameras, battery life and processing power for games.

It looks though Vivo really studied the latest current smartphone trends and this company really trying to give a tough competition to Xiaomi, Samsung and Realme and a run for their money.

Here is our review for brand new Vivo Z1 Pro.

Design and Display:

The First things you will notice about the front of Vivo Z1 pro is its oversize screen with a hole in the upper left corner for the front camera. This is obviously the next big trend after screen notches. The camera hole is not too big and is not really distracting in everyday use.

The Vivo Z1 pro features an eye-catching glassy plastic rear panel with a multicolor radiant finish. The colors are rich and saturated giving this phone a sort of dual-tone appearance. It also catches the light as you tilt it around.

The triple camera module on the rear side is out just a little bit. There is also a standard rear fingerprint sensor on the back of this phone position slightly out of reach for us.

The power and volume buttons are on the right and there is a physical Google Assistant button on the left just below the sim and micro SD card tray.

We are disappointed to see Vivo continued to stick with a micro USB port on its modern phones. including this one. There is also a 3.5mm headphone socket and its speaker grill on the bottom. The Vivo Z1 pro weighs 200gm and is 8.5mm thick.

Screen measures 6.53 inches diagonally with 1080px* 2340px resolution and has full HD display. The Vivo’s phone run fun touch OS a very heavily modified UI for android 9.

A lot of things are changes around compares to stock android it has quite a few interesting features including gestures and app cloning.

The display is very sharp and legible in all conditions, viewing angles are also great but colors are not as vivid as they are on competing phones with AMOLED panels.

The big news with the Vivo Z1 pro is this is the first phone in India based on Qualcomm snapdragon 712 Soc processor.  where an octa-core processor setup containing two Kryo 360 processors (a 2.3GHz dual-core and a 1.7GHz Hexacore)is placed.

The setup is further aided by a 4GB RAM that provides a much-required boost to the system while running multiple apps simultaneously. An Adreno 616 GPU takes care of the graphical requirements of the system.

Camera and battery:

As on the optics front, the device has a triple camera set up at the rear having 16MP, 8MP, and 2MP lenses. There Is A 32MP front shooter onboard as well. Both the camera setups are capable of capturing excellent images and also can record good quality videos as well.

The Vivo Z1 pro has a battery back up of 5000mAh Li-ion battery which gives a healthy time to use the phone without the need to continue charging. The battery is not removable it is inbuilt in the phone.

It facilitates the quick charging feature which charges the phone in a very short span of time. we were able to use the Z1 pro for over a day and a half and our HD video loop test ran for 18 hours completely.
